The Artists Behind Every Line
Every Zoola design starts with a real person, a real pencil, and a real story.
We work with a growing community of illustrators who pour their imagination onto
paper before it ever touches canvas. No stock images. No AI generators. Just
hand-drawn art, credited by name, on every product.
When you buy a Zoola product, 15% of the sale goes directly to the illustrator
who drew your design. That’s not a marketing tagline — it’s how we believe art
should be valued.
Mia Chen
Lead Illustrator
“I find magic in the quiet moments – a cat napping, a fern unfurling.”
Mia founded Zoola’s illustration studio after years of sketching the stray
cats that wandered into our Wenzhou workshop. Her signature style blends soft
watercolor textures with playful line work, bringing warmth to every piece she
touches. She leads our team of illustrators and personally reviews every design
before it goes to print.
Signature themes: Whimsical Cats, Botanical Storybook
Lily Wang
Senior Illustrator
“Nature is my sketchbook. Every flower has a story if you look closely.”
Lily’s illustrations are inspired by vintage botanical archives and the
gardens she tends on her balcony. Her work captures the romance of old-world
florals – peonies, dahlias, and climbing vines – reimagined for modern everyday
objects. Her color palettes draw from aged paper and faded inks.
Signature themes: Vintage Floral Garden, Wandering Flowers
Yuki Tanaka
Illustrator
“I paint the sky I wish I could see every night.”
Yuki’s celestial illustrations are born from a childhood spent stargazing in
the countryside. Her dreamy moons, constellations, and northern lights designs
bring a sense of wonder to bags and home goods. She works primarily in ink and
watercolor wash, building layers of depth in each piece.
Signature themes: Celestial Dream, Mountain Dawn
Sora Kim
Illustrator
“Every leaf has a personality. I just help it show.”
Sora’s botanical illustrations walk the line between scientific accuracy and
storybook charm. Inspired by vintage field guides and her grandmother’s herb
garden, her work brings the outdoors inside – ferns, succulents, and wild herbs
rendered in fine detail with a gentle hand.
Signature themes: Botanical Storybook, Fern Hideaway
Hana Lee
Illustrator
“Less, but more alive. One line can say everything.”
Hana’s minimalist line art proves that simplicity and emotion aren’t
opposites. Her single-line drawings – a sleeping cat, a single bloom, a
mountain ridge – distill subjects to their essence. She believes the most
beautiful designs are the ones that get out of their own way.
Signature themes: Minimal Line Art, One-Line Series
Nova Patel
Guest Artist
“I collect sunrise colors the way others collect stamps.”
Nova joined Zoola as a guest artist after her sunrise series went viral on
Instagram. Her gradient-heavy illustrations capture the fleeting colors of dawn
and dusk – peach, lavender, and gold – translated onto canvas with a warmth
that feels like morning light.
Signature themes: Mountain Dawn, Peach Blossom Vintage
Fern Liu
Guest Artist
“Flowers don’t sit still. I draw them in motion.”
Fern’s illustrations are all about movement – petals caught mid-fall, vines
climbing, wildflowers swaying. Her style is loose and energetic, with visible
brushstrokes that make each piece feel alive. She draws exclusively from life,
never from photographs.
Signature themes: Wandering Flowers, Wild Garden
How Your Product Is Made
The Sketch
Every design begins as a hand-drawn illustration. Pencils, watercolors,
ink – whatever feels right for the story.
The Story
Each illustration comes with a personal note from the artist about what
inspired it. You’ll find it on every product page.
The Product
Our factory in Wenzhou prints the illustration on organic canvas using
water-based eco ink, then sews it into the final product.
The Connection
When you buy a Zoola product, you’re supporting a real artist. 15% of
every sale goes directly to the illustrator who drew your design.
Our Promise to Artists
We believe illustrators deserve more than a one-time fee. That’s why every
artist who creates a design for Zoola receives 15% of every sale – not just
the first, but every order, for as long as the design is in production.
No other bag brand does this. We think that’s crazy.
